My Petland is written for pet owners first. Pages should answer a real question clearly, show their limits, and make the next safe action obvious.
Our source order
We prefer sources in this order: veterinary associations and universities; peer-reviewed research; then veterinarian-authored educational material. A source link does not mean that an organization endorses My Petland. We avoid using a single study to make broad claims that its population did not support.
How calculations are labeled
Human-age results use words such as “about” and “approximate.” They are cross-species analogies, not measurements of biological or clinical age. The Methodology publishes the age anchors, interpolation rule, life-stage boundaries, and known limits used by the calculator.
Medical-content boundaries
Content may explain low-risk observation, routine care topics, and signs that deserve veterinary attention. It does not diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment, provide medication or supplement dosages, or instruct a reader to manage urgent signs at home. Individual decisions belong with a veterinarian who has examined the animal.
Review dates and corrections
Each page shows when it was last checked. A correction updates both the copy and that date. Readers can report an unclear claim, broken source, or factual error through the Contact page.
Veterinary review claims
“Veterinarian reviewed” appears only after a real, named veterinarian approves the exact version displayed. The launch version has no such claim. Institutional sources are not a substitute for individual review.
Commercial independence
The launch site has no advertising, affiliate links, paid placements, or product recommendations. If commercial relationships are introduced later, they must be disclosed without changing editorial conclusions.
