My Petland turns a familiar question—“How old is my pet in human years?”—into a more useful starting point for care. The number is easy to understand, but the life stage beside it is usually the better guide to what deserves attention.

What we publish

The first version covers dogs and cats only. It includes an age calculator, life-stage explanations, practical observation checklists, and clear guidance about when a local veterinarian should take over. We do not publish breed-level disease predictions, medication instructions, or home treatment plans.

Human-age comparisons are approximate. A pet’s size, breed, genetics, health history, body condition, environment, and individual changes all matter. Read how the calculator works for the exact tables and limits.

How the site is supported

My Petland is independently edited. At launch there are no advertisements, affiliate links, sponsored product recommendations, accounts, or paid features. If that changes, the relevant policy pages will be updated before the change goes live.

Our pages link to the sources used and show a review date. The site does not claim veterinary review unless a real, named veterinarian has approved the exact published version. See the Editorial Policy for the full process.
